A DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) Pump, also called a Sequential Compression Device (SCD) or Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) device, prevents blood clot formation in the legs of immobile patients by applying cyclical compression to the lower limbs. Essential for ICU patients, post-surgical patients and those with limited mobility, DVT pumps significantly reduce the risk of pulmonary embolism.
